Does Anyone Know What Day It Is?

There’s a quiet week that lives between Christmas and New Year's day. .A strange, suspended stretch of time where the calendar technically moves forward, but no one is quite sure what day it is. Tuesday might be Friday. Friday might be Sunday. Is there such a thing as December 47th? Emails can wait. Showers are optional. Seriously, they are!
It’s the in between.
The decorations are still up, but the adrenaline is gone. The leftovers are still around, but we’re starting to eye them with suspicion. We’re no longer rushing toward something, but we haven’t yet decided what’s next. It’s a paradox, like much of life.
And honestly? I love this week. It’s quiet. Thoughtful. A week of wonder, surrender, rest.
For me, this is not a time for resolutions. It’s a week for reflection, observation and thoughts of intention.
Reflection isn’t about judging what you didn’t do or making a mental list of all the ways you “should have been better.” Reflection is simply noticing. Looking back and saying, Ah… that’s what this year held. I don’t know about you, but this past year held a lot for me. Lots of change and challenges, lots of transformation, lots of obstacles, lots of opportunities, lots of grace, and lots of hope and love.
What did you survive? What did you learn the hard way? What did you let go of - intentionally or not? What surprised you?
Reflection is a guide, not a report card.
And from that reflection, something quieter emerges. Not resolutions, but intentions.
Intentions don’t yell at you. They don’t require a color-coded spreadsheet or a complete personality overhaul by January 2nd, only to feel completely deflated and like a failure by January 15th.They don’t demand that you become a brand-new person who wakes up at 5 a.m., loves kale, and has never known the comfort lingering in bed for 10 more minutes.
Intentions are softer. Kinder. More honest.
An intention might sound like:
I want to live with more presence, leaving procrastination and multi-tasking behind.
I want to care for my body with less punishment and more respect - eating healthier and stretching, walking, or resting.
I want to be braver about what I already know is true. I am an artist.
I want my life to feel more like mine. Yes, more authentic and true to my heart’s desires.
This week - the in between - is where those intentions are born. Not from pressure, but from clarity. Not from ambition, but from awareness.
You don’t have to figure out the entire next year. You don’t need a five-year plan or a new identity.
You just need to listen.
Because reflection shows you what you’re capable of. And intention gently points you toward what’s next.
Let this be a week where you rest, laugh at the oddness of time, take one honest look back - and one hopeful, unhurried glance forward. All from the comfort of your pajamas!
No resolutions required.
Let’s walk into 2026 with less resolve, and more intention. I’ll meet you there!

Couldn't love this any more! So much wisdom here.
